Account Information

Your name and email address when you create an account
Email addresses of contacts you choose to notify (the primary contact identifier)
Phone numbers of contacts, collected through the opt-in consent form when contacts choose to receive SMS notifications

Flight Information

Flight confirmation emails you forward to us
Flight details extracted from those emails (airline, flight number, dates, airports)
Flight status updates from our flight tracking provider

Usage Information

Log data such as IP address, browser type, and access times
Information about how you interact with our service

To provide flight tracking and notification services
To send SMS notifications to your designated contacts
To authenticate your account and ensure security

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

With your contacts: We send SMS notifications containing your name and flight status to contacts you explicitly add to a trip
Service providers: We use third-party services for SMS delivery (Twilio), email processing (Mailgun), and flight data (FlightAware)
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights

Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Flight and trip data is retained for 90 days after a trip is completed, then automatically deleted. You can delete your account at any time, which will remove all your data from our systems.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security assessments.

How Consent Is Obtained

Contacts consent to receive SMS messages by completing an opt-in form on our website after receiving an email invitation from the traveler. The opt-in form includes a link to this privacy policy. Consent is given voluntarily and is not a condition of any purchase.

Message Types and Frequency

Typically 2-4 messages per trip. More for delayed or multi-stop flights. Message types include:

Confirmation SMS after consent
Flight departure notification
Flight delay notification (if applicable)
Flight landing notification

Opt-Out Instructions

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Opt-out requests are honored immediately and you will receive a confirmation message.
